GSA 8(a) STARS is an easy-to-use contract vehicle with several
attractive features, including:

Allows for Sole Source and Directed Task Orders up to $3.5 million
Short procurement turn-around time, sometimes as little as 5 days
Low User Fee (0.75 percent) built into contractor’s ceiling prices.
Ability to combine hardware and software, and IT services orders
8(a) credit is transferrable back to the originating client agency via Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS)
